Hotel The Globe Amsterdam is located near the Red Light District and overlooks two of the most famous historic canals in the ‘de Wallen’ area, the oldest part of the city. It is only 3-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and less than 10 minutes walking from all of the major tourist attractions, such as Dam Square, the Flower Market and Rembrandt Square. Various coffee shops are easily reached from the hotels’ quiet, relaxed location. This hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the city centre and its tourist attractions on foot as well as by public transportation. The most well-known fact about Hotel The Globe is that it has a great sports cafe. You can view all major sport events (like the Super Bowl, N.F.L., N.B.A., premier league, etc.) on 9 televisions and 2 big screens. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby area. The hotel has 23 clean and pleasant private rooms, each of which has its own en-suite bathroom and shower room. Furthermore, Hotel The Globe Amsterdam has the largest collection of shared dorms in the city, ranging in capacity from 4 to 20 people. Linens are available on all beds, but free towels are distributed upon request at reception, subject to availability.Your room will be held for 2 hours after your given arrival time, after which the hotel will have the right to charge your first night stay. Please note the hotel has traditional Dutch steep stairs and no elevator.Deposit: A deposit is required for room keys and all kinds of borrowable items. You will be asked to leave the hotel immediately without refund if you are being disrespectful or fail to follow any hotel regulations.This accommodation offers discounted parking rates.The hotel is best known for its sports bar, which is the biggest in the Red Light District and is open until 03:00 on weekdays and 05:00 at the weekend.Nine televisions and two separate large screens show all major sport events. There are also two pool tables and one dartboard. English or American breakfast is served in the bar, as well as delicious lunch and dinner.Hotel guests get a 20% discount on the food menu upon presentation of Hotel entrée card.There are Happy Hours each day from Sunday to Thursday in the bar, with offers including two-for-one deals on Heineken draft.1) From Schiphol Airport: Take the direct train to Amsterdam Central Station. From the central train station, follow the directions of step 2.2) From Amsterdam Central Station: You don't need to take a tram to reach the hotel as the hotel is located within easy walking distance from the station. Walk out the front entrance of the station and head towards the church tower and flags that are 150 meters away. Pass the hotel on the right side of the street and walk down 'Nieuwe Brugsteeg' and take the second right down 'Sint Olofsteeg'. You will come out onto a canal (Oudezijds Voorburgwal) where you can see Hotel The Globe situated directly on the left side across the first bridge. (You'll see a big blue sign saying Sky Sports and The Globe)This Amsterdam hotel is located in the heart of the Red Light District, only 2 minutes walking from Dam Square.
