Anne’s room is named after the hiding place of Anne Frank in wartime Holland. Many canal houses and old ware houses in the city center were built with a house in front and one at the back; the one in the back usually being smaller and more intimate. The studio is located at the back of the building, 1st floor, and offers excellent privacy. In this highly celebrated area you will have quiet nights because it's not in the front facing. The Oudezijds Achterburgwal which leads directly into the Red Light district. In the evening the street and canal can be busy with visitors. It is well but simply designed with bright and fresh colors.The 2 single beds can be combined to create a twin bed. In addition to the common amenities all rooms have a stove, coffee maker and water heater providing the opportunity to cook a simple meal. The window opens to the small patio where you can enjoy the afternoon sun shaded by bamboo, and have your lunches. Bedlinen, cotton towels, soaps and shampoos are included Flowers are welcoming you upon arrival. Smoking is only allowed on the patio and not inside the studio! If you have special wishes please let us know so we can make your stay as comfortable as possible.Right in the heart of Amsterdam, you can easily reach all tourist sights and attractions on foot or by tram. The hotel is not far from the Zeedijk, which is a busy, narrow street with lots to see. This popular area offers many historical monuments, shops, cafés and small restaurants. The hotel is also very near the Nieuwmarkt Square, with its many cafés and rich history, linked to its Jewish background.Directions from Central Railway Station to Anne’s Room at Oudezijds Achterburgwal Leaving the station through the main entrance you walk straight in the direction of Dam square. On Dam square you take the street next to the Krasnapolsky hotel : this is the Damstraat. Before the second bridge you turn left on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal. When arriving at Schiphol airport it is best to contact us for your time of arrival.Located in the canal belt, One Roomed Guesthouse offers self-catering rooms, with an enclosed balcony.
