Cefalu is located within the boundaries of the Parco Delle Madonnie, a 40,000 hectare nature reserve containing splendid mountain landscapes, ancient villages and numerous hiking trails. The Park is a 'botanic paradise' possessing more than half of the 2600 species known to Sicily within its confines. Cefalu is a perfect base for exploring the island's most important sites, such as Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, Syracuse and Monreal's famed cathedral. Lying 80 km East of Palermo, with abundant train and bus service between the two cities, Cefalu is a convenient, historic and relaxing vacation destination for the discriminating international traveler. All the rooms very good equiped and in good style in the town center ,not necessary the car , from Cefalu beging May to october you can reach the Aeolian Islands.
