Hospitality in a 17th century large country house which has maintained it s noble characteristics after restructural work in 2005. This was the preferred house of many noted artists, some of whose works are still to be found here. We have also a big garden with barbeque, a Pallaio and a SWIMMINGPOOL. Where to find us: Popolano (Marradi) is situated in the hills on the Tuscan-Romagnolo Appenines in the province of Florence. It is easily accessable, even by public transport. For touring guests: It is easy to visit many interesting towns from here such as : the artistic city of Florence (60 km) Faenza (30 km) noted for it s ceramics, Ravenna (50km) with the beautiful mosaics in its cathedral, Bologna (60 km) and nearer (about 10/15 Km.) the spa towns of Brisighella and Rio Terme, which are both equipped for all thermal cures. For those that desire a completely relaxing holiday: The possibility to stay in an old world atmosphere in an area far from those of mass tourism. The town of Popolano (Marradi) offers splendid opportunities to discover the local ancient forests and monasteries either on foot or horseback. Trekkers can follow the detailed indications supplied by the C.A.I. The characteristic eno- gastronomy of the area offers the best of Tuscan and Romagnolo cuisine. Of particular interest are the series of local chestnut festivals in October featuring products from the vast surrounding area.
