The apartment is situated in a small and characteristic street next to Piazza San Lorenzo, the square of the famous leather market. The building is from the 1400, three of our rooms have original frescoes. The interior design is a mix of furniture from the late 800s and some of our creations. We offer 2 double bedrooms, a room for 4 people and one single room. All rooms feature a fan and a hairdryer. The kitchen is the heart of the Strange Uncle: here our guests can have breakfast, have a glass of wine or spend some time. Cooking won't be possible but sometimes the Strange Uncle will cook for you. :) Bred and Nadja live in the same street as the Strange Uncle, so they'll always be available for you. They'll be very happy to spend some time with you and to give you some suggestions about restaurants, bars and gelaterie. The neighborhood is famous for its leather market, which is open all day long, every day. Next to the leather market you can find the Mercato Centrale: the ground floor is open until 2 pm (every day except Sunday) and offers homemade pasta, fresh fruit, butchers, bakeries and a very good restaurant; the upper floor is new, it's open every day until midnight: here you can find a bar, a pizzeria, some wine bars, restaurants, ice-creams and in general some typical tuscan food. We'll be happy to suggest you many other restaurants, bars and clubs in our area. Our area is well connected and it's less than a 10 minutes walk from the main station, Santa Maria Novella. There, you can find buses and trains. For the guests who travel by car, there are many garages in this district. The city tax is not included in the price (1 euro per night per person). We only ask our guests to respect the neighbors and the other guests, especially during night time and not to smoke in the house. Strange Uncle Policies and Conditions: Cancellation policy: 72h before arrival. This property may pre-authorize your card before arrival. Check in from 14:00 to 23:00. Check out before 11:00. Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards. Taxes not included - occupancy tax 1.00 EUR per person per night. Breakfast included. General: No curfew. Non smoking. Pets not allowed.
