Sankotra Haveli was built in 17th Century when the Jaipur Town was founded.It has its own specialities live being very very close to Sanganeri Gate the main entrance to Johari Bazar,Citi Place etc.It is a popularly known as “Kanch Ka Darwaja” become of beautifully glass work inside and it is one of the oldest Haveli of Jaipur City.Sankotra Haveli is still the residence of the family since 8 generations.The building of haveli still being maintained in the original arctiture, which has got 7 terrace 3 open courtyards over looking the building, 20 to 25 rooms in all and one of the beautiful room know as the Kach Mahal which is painted with real gold and walls of the Mahal has double glass wall which makes the room sound proof, with small collection of family guns.The SANKOTRA HAVELI is a Tourist hotel.
