Each guestroom features its own collection of local seashells and basket full of starfish, a mini-library and a bed piled high with Ralph Lauren linens and stereos with compact disc player.It is a modern, ocean-front hotel (1955) which has been completely renovated and designed by Ralph Lauren's residential design team to resemble one of the great beach houses of the Hamptons, Nantucket and Coastal Maine.The hotel has an indoor/outdoor restaurant and a bar. The restaurant offers American home cooking in a romantic, candle-lit dining room. The bar is named after its giant seahorse filled aquarium, offering premium liquor and house specialities in a cosy setting.Instead of an oversized lobby, there is a series of intimate rooms throughout the ground floor. Public spaces at the hotel are residential in scale, creating a warm, welcoming feeling from the moment a guest walks through the door.
