For those looking to venture out, the Allegro Nuevo Vallarta is well positioned for local shopping and entertainment. Golf enthusiasts have three 18-hole golf courses nearby to choose from and there is a whole host of motorised and non-motorised water sports available on the beach. The Occidental Allegro Nuevo Vallarta's 294 guestrooms are beautifully decorated in a Mexican style and are furnished with one king size bed or two double beds, marble floors, wood and wrought-iron furnishings, as well as air conditioning with individual climate control, a private bathroom with shower, satellite television, a coffee maker and a safety deposit box. Outside in the attractive grounds guests will find a swimming pool for adults and a separate pool for children, two clay tennis courts, volleyball, table tennis and beach soccer as well as a fitness room. Topacio is the resort's main restaurant featuring an open-air atmosphere and an impressive buffet offering a wide variety of international cuisine. Caruso's offers delicious Italian dishes a la carte in a charming and romantic environment. La Troje features authentic a la carte Mexican fare in a festive atmosphere. Advance reservations are required for Caruso's and La Troje. Guests can enjoy cocktails and drinks in the hotel's lobby bar Tarantulas, as well as hot tea at tea time. The Olas Bar located on the beach features lively entertainment with karaoke every Wednesday night, tequila party on Thursdays and a toga party each Friday night plus, lunch is served in the snack bar, as well as fare for the late night crowd. An all-inclusive stay at the Occidental Allegro Nuevo Vallarta includes the manager's weekly cocktail party, all meals and snacks, wine served with dinner, unlimited alcoholic beverages as well as juices and soft drinks and room service for continental breakfast only. The Olas Beach Bar opens for drinks between 10am and 1.30pm, the snack bar opens from noon to 4pm and then agaian from 11pm to 1.30am and finally the Tarantulas Bar, in the lobby offers cocktails, dancing and entertainment between 4pm and 10pm (tea time is between 4pm and 5pm). ##Swimming Pools There are two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children plus loungers and a towel service is available by the pool and on the beach.
