There are two rooms available at Emerson House. The largest room is in the basement. The basement Bedroom has a full (double) bed with a new bathroom, small microwave and small refrigerator. There are 3 above ground windows so the atmosphere is nice and light filled. Nice TV and new sofa and bed set. You will have towels, bed linens, and soaps. The apartment has a full bed, small work desk, clothes rack, large living area with a couch, matching footstool, a nice dining table with 2 chairs, Large floor mirror, Large TV with antenna and free wi-fi. Private bathroom with shower. You can request to share the main kitchen. There is a Keurig coffee machine in the kitchen. Please feel free to bring your favorite coffee pods. The laundry in the basement is also shared with the other house occupants. You can enjoy the patio for outdoor refreshment. The apartment is designed for maximum comfort and convenience. The Comfortable Cozy Single Bedroom is upstairs in the house with a twin sized (single) bed and the occupant will share the bathroom with the other residents of the house. There is a bookshelf in the room for storage, a closet, a bed table, lamp, alarm clock, chair and ceiling fan. There is a 19 inch TV with digital box, free wi-fi. This space is my house. It is not a public property. I will make you as comfortable as the rest of the residents of the house. I offer breakfast snacks, whole fruits, water and other comfort items to make your stay enjoyable. Wireless Internet (free WiFi) is included. Access to the most popular tourist sites in DC can be done via the bus stop steps away outside the apartment or by DC Metro 5 mins down the street (Ft. Totten Station, one half mile walk). A grocery store is a 20 min walk (Giant) and a most popular restaurant (McDonald's) is 3 minutes from the apartment. ***Please note*** After booking we will request that you contact us by email with credit card and travel details because we may need to request a deposit of $50.00 for guarantee. Cancellation Policy: 2 days before the arrival Minimum Stay: 2 nights We do not accept pets Check In: from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm Please contact us beforehand to arrange the Check In! All occupants are working during the day and normally are not available for mid-day check in. Please be sure to call us to confirm check in time. We may be able to make special arrangements. Method of Payment upon the arrival: Cash, Credit Cards (there is a surcharge of 2.79 % if paying by Credit Card!) Breakfast is not included. Some refreshments are available! Taxes are included. Check out time is 12 noon or before. Check in time must be cleared with the owner 24 hours prior to arrival. Please call or text the owner. The owner works during the day and is not available for mid day or late night check out and check in. No Smoking of any kind. No visitors for over 3 hours. We do not accept pets.
