This small, family-run guest house is situated in the quieter North Shore area of Blackpool, less than 2 miles from the town centre. It is a 5-minute walk from the beach, and offers free Wi-Fi. Free parking is available at a nearby location. Rooms at The Oakland Guest House are simply designed, and come with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Each also features tea and coffee-making facilities and fresh towels are supplied daily. There is a large communal lounge for guests to relax in, which has a TV and a dining area. You can bring your own food into the dining area, or order from a take-away menu until 22:00. Two cafés and selection of pubs can be found within the local area, which provide breakfast and hearty meals. The guest house is located one road back from the promenade, meaning trams and buses are within easy reach to take you into Blackpool, or a brisk stroll along the beach. Blackpool Zoo is around 5 minutes’ drive away, and you can visit nearby Stanley Park, with its tennis courts and boating lake.The Oakland does not accept bookings for single sex groups of more than 4 adults. Please note the rooms are up 2 flights of stairs.
