Welcome to the Peacock Bed and Breakfast. It is a beautiful and intimate bed and breakfast situated in the heart of London, just moments away from the historic treasures of Central London. With just five bedrooms, we have a warm and welcoming atmosphere committed to your comfort; you are sure to enjoy your stay with us.Located on the quiet road of Alderney Street SW1, the bed and breakfast is five minutes' walk from Pimlico Tube Station, and eight minutes' walk from Victoria Train, Victoria Tube Station and Victoria Coach stations; making getting around London efficient and economical. Victoria Train Station has fast trains to Gatwick Airport, and Victoria Coach station has coaches to Stanstead, Luton, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. There are many local restaurants to be enjoyed in Victoria and Pimlico. It is also a short commute to City Airport and Waterloo Eurostar. For business clients the bed and breakfast is very close to the U.K. passport office, Inland Revenue and Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.The closest tourist attractions are Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, Horse Guards Parade, St. James Palace, St. James Park, Pall Mall, 10 Downing Street, Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, the Tower of London, The London Aquarium, Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park, Harrods Department store and the Tate Britain Museum. Having the shopping district of Oxford Circus, Regents Street, Knightsbridge, Sloane Square and Kings Road close by, as well as the West End, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus with its many restaurants, Theatreland with entertaining musicals and beaming nightlife, makes staying here ideal for both the business and leisure travellers. All rooms are bright, neutrally decorated to a high standard, functional, clean and have firm mattresses ensuring a good night's rest. There is a house safe which can be used upon request. The bedrooms are arranged over five floors. There is no lift in the house. It is best to book a room on a lower floor if your mobility is limited.A continental breakfast is provided and can be enjoyed in the comfort of your room in your own time or in the communal breakfast area. Complementary cereals, bread, butter, jam, milk, fruit juice, yoghurt, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar stocked for your pleasure.If you are lactose intolerant please advise us beforehand. Soya milk can be obtained if you desire. No English breakfast or Meat is served at the peacock.Airport pickup and drop-off can be arranged. Taxis for London can also be arranged. Please let us know if you require a taxi service. We will be happy to arrange this for you.
