In designing the hotel, the builder and owner, RaÃºl Gutierrez, was very much inspired by Mayan culture, meaning that the construction is in tune with typical elements of the area, including a copy of the Lab Nah arch. The name of the hotel is also taken from the Mayan language and actually translates as ""old house"". Comprising 33 rooms, the hotel features a lobby with a 24-hour reception desk, a hotel safe, a travel service, a cafÃ©, a breakfast room, a laundry service, medical attention and a car park.
