The hotel also has 14 bars including 2 beach bars, a snack bar, pool bar and a lounge bar.The Occidental Grand Hotel is in a get away from it all location, a mile from the beach and 4 miles from Playa del Carmen. The hotel is outside the centre of Xcaret, a pretty area on a quiet cove. The area itself is an eco park combining a tropical jungle, Mayan ruins and underground rivers. There are many local activities including swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, a bat cave, manatee lagoon, marine turtles and an orchid conservatory.
